Do you have loose dentures or natural teeth that are failing due to cavities or gum disease? If so, I am sure that you have seen the television advertisements saying that you can get a new set of dental implant teeth in one day. New teeth in one day? Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Let me give you the REAL STORY.

New teeth in only ONE day? Yes! It is possible!

The “Teeth-in-a-Day” concept involves having a complete set of new teeth that are attached to dental implants immediately after the implants are placed into the mouth. These new teeth do not come out of the mouth like a typical set of dentures. These implant teeth are firmly secured to the dental implants. Sometimes, “Teeth-in-a-Day” are also known by the name All on 4 as is often promoted by the implant company Nobel Biocare.

While some Austin dental offices tout that they can give you new implant teeth in one day, there are a few little details (actually very big details) that they are leaving out. First of all, in order to have teeth permanently attached to dental implants in a single day as in the Teeth-in-a-Day concept, you must have at least 4 implants placed in the jaw that is being worked on. The 4 implants are securely attached to the new teeth which help to stabilize the implants in their early healing phase.

If you can get an entire set of new teeth in a single day, can you get a single new implant tooth in only one visit? No, you cannot have a new tooth permanently attached to a single implant on the day of implant treatment. Why not you ask? Unlike the All on Four or Teeth-in-a-Day treatments which use a dental prosthesis to stabilize the newly placed implants, a single implant does not have the stability offered by the 4 implant concept. If you place a tooth on a single implant right away, this lack of stabilization on the single implant significantly increases the risk of failure.

One problem with the Teeth-in-a-Day concept is that the advertising typically used to promote the procedure can be somewhat misleading. Many people are lured into offices thinking all implant teeth can be restored in a single day. This is simply not the case. If you are having your entire jaw restored by dental implants (at least 4), then new teeth in one day are possible. The problem is that most advertisements do not mention this little, but important piece of information. You must then ask yourself, if they are not telling me this important piece of information, what else are they not telling me? That is why I created this page. I want you to know the information up front without any false pretenses.

The All on 4 or Teeth-in-a-Day treatment concept is a great treatment option for those who qualify. The treatment is a reality.
